Applied Debating: Developing position papers
During my universities studies, I have been tasked with developing position papers in which I was required to create a paper which presents one side of an argument about a particular issue. The paper is used to portray the issues and facts surrounding the chosen topic and then through the use of these facts provide a persuasive argument to generate support for the issue and defend the validity of the argument.
For one of my position papers I chose the topic of the decriminalization for sex work and accurately conveyed the benefits surrounding this decriminalization, whilst also establishing sex work as a valid form of work and income.
